Lake Powell..I mean...Birthday parties...I mean...the zoo

Happy Birthday party for Nick Bayba!! It was an amazing birthday cake!

I was WAY impressed with all of the changes at Hogle Zoo. It really was new and improved! I loved it...especially this cute baby giraffe. :)

Leah and Sarah on the Merry-Go-Round. Leah looked really cute with her monkey bag!
Our Lake Powell buddies--they found this cool little "swimming pot" at Lake Powell and after the longest boat ride we jumped in and it was SO refreshing! It was actually pretty funny because we were running out of gas in the boat and we were about a football field away from the Marina and ran COMPLETELY out of gas. It was all windy (of course) so we just drifted away until somebody eventually helped us. It was so hot I thought I had melted into the seats. I love classic Lake Powell adventures though. It wouldn't be Lake Powell if there wasn't some little glitch. :)
There is that Yummy Ice Cream cake again! mmmm...caramel!

Okay...now this has to be one of my favorite pictures...It makes me laugh so hard. My face says it all! Let's just say I wasn't feeling too well that day. oh boy! I always get a chuckle when I see this picture. :) haha.

Nick found this frog and we named it Herbie Hart. :)
Domo Arigato from China Town. :)

Summer Days Aint No Bummer Days

This is outside the SLC temple after Trisha and Mike got married! It was so good to be there and I just love that these two lovebirds finally bit the bullet and got hitched. They are perfect for eachother!
Here is Nick's cute truck! We get to ride it to church and around the town. It is so fun to ride in it because I feel so cool. People give us thumbs up left and right. Nick just nods his head and gives the little "beep beep".

I know...I know..I am not a photographer but this is a view of our house when our roses were blooming and I wish they could stay around all summer. I tried to soak them up while they were around.

Rachael and the family came over to celebrate her 25th birthday...And Rachael was WAY good at LadderBall (hee hee). It was so fun especially at the end of the night when we found Rachael's bracelet in the grass. Shae, Nick, and I were like little kids again finding a treasure....it was great!

Emme and Charley hiding the bracelet...haha.

This is Nick and Emily's cute little boy and our cute nephew Jackson at his 1st Birthday Partay!!! I am obsessed with this boy!! He loves food and treats so much!

Nick's truck gets to be in the parade!! It was fun when the family drove by and threw otter pops! This kid on the right was so cute and I am so glad we captured him catching something in the air. :)
Patriotic Fourth of July Woods. Salute.

And of course...the summer hit "Ladder Ball". We love this game.
Oh yes...and the summer would be incomplete without the Manti pageant! :) It was a fun surprise that Nick took me. I had never been but it was way fun!

And Cherry Hill was WAY fun! One of my favorite birthday parties! :)

Goodbye Basement Apartment...Hello....

Hart House!!

It's True...WE bought a house in Kaysville and are loving every little bit about it....

Especially since these guys get to be our next door neighbors! I am sure we will be over to borrow lots of cups of sugar for all those cookies I plan to make in our new kitchen.

Here are a couple more pics of the new pad...

Soon enough when things get settled down we can really start working more on our house and I will put pictures of OUR decorations, etc...

Yardwork here we come!! :) It is on a 0.3 acre lot and we don't know what to do with all of this space now!! Yikes.

And...I don't know anything about flowers. Any tips?

North Carolina

Nick and I went to North Carolina for my work conference so I could be certified in Adult Weight Management. We made a really fun trip out of it! We loved it there! We had so much good food and the area was gorgeous! There were so many pretty parks and I forget living here in Utah how green it is back there!

Oh and don't worry....there were all these tornado warnings when we were back there! It was freaky!

This picture is pretty funny how Nick placed his hands in his lap...he was being goofy--but you can't really tell...

Carolina Beach...

After a long flight...
Alligator Encounter...

Nick is making a serious face at this Civil War Site--he was in heaven with all of this history he got to learn about while I was at my conference. :)

This last one was a random hike we took by our hotel and we found this gorgeous pond!

Well..that is a rap....As the Ryan Adams song goes.."Oh My Sweet Carolina..." We'll see ya again next time. :)

Rachael had her BABY!

Rachael had her beautiful baby girl!! They named her Brittana Jyl (a family name!) She is such a beautiful baby!! And I think she looks just like Rachael! We went to visit her in the hospital and I can't believe Rachael and how easy she makes childbirth look easy as cake! She is amazing! They sure do make cute babies!!

I just make the babies cry....

These are her cute girls together! I think they are darling!

Chopped...

So...Nick and I have our favorite shows, but this one on the Food Network is one of our favorites (EVEN Nick likes it.) It is called "Chopped" and for those that haven't seen this show, they start with four chefs and they start making an appetizer with random surprise ingredients that usually don't go together in twenty minutes, then one gets chopped..aka eliminated.

Then they continue making dinner and dessert. People keep getting "chopped" until there is a final winner! The final winner gets $10,000. I wish I could be a judge so bad! This show makes us so HUNGRY!

Nick and I kind of make our own versions of "Chopped" and make weird food combinations that sometimes taste good. Sometimes when we go out to eat we pretend that we are the judges on chopped and criticize and analyze the meal. :)

Check it out on the FOOD network on Tuesday nights. :)

Little Avery Mae

So we have a brand new niece! She was born on February 23rd and weighed 6 lb. 10 oz!! I have to say that Rickie and Mike make some darling kids!! Nick and I are going to visit them in Arizona in just over a month! I can't wait to hold Avery and see Daven and Logan! I wish they lived closer so we could see them more. Here are some pictures I just think are so precious!
