February and March

I've got a lot of catching up to do! This post won't have many details, just pictures of February and March.

Nick took the girls to eat for Valentines Day (Daddy Daughter Date). Can't go wrong with Arctic Circle!

I was so bummed Shopko went out of business. I went here ever since I was little. It brings back memories. So...we went here with Megan before it closed down.

Come on...

This past month has gone by fast...again...as usual.  I feel like we are so busy working on different projects, taking care of kiddos, working, playing, etc.  Life is so good right now though.  Things aren't perfect and exactly where we would want them to be...but I love life right now!  I wouldn't want them any other way right now.  I am realizing that every day I get with the girls is not just MY day but their day too.  I am trying to see life from a child's perspective and it is so fun and simple for them.  They love the little things and appreciate all of the little things.  They don't need anything extravagant to make them happy.  They just need each other and Nick and me.  We could live in a tent and they would probably love it.

If you go to JoAnn's Crafts with these two, you HAVE to get candy to keep your sanity! Push Pops were not the best idea. Lucy was so sticky I could have thrown her in the air and she would have stuck to the ceiling.

They made a fort under the table and ate every meal under here for a day. 

 We have had some pretty hilarious moments this month and some sweet ones.

Lucy: She is really demanding if she wants you to come she says, "COME ON" (really authoritative) and pulls your arm.  She hates getting her hair braided but has the thickest most beautiful hair--and all I want to do is play with it.  She has been really demanding of the songs we sing.  She is obsessed with Olaf and twirling around singing "et it go...et it go.."  She has been saying prayers, "Heavenly Father..family...grandpa....ice cream...Amen."  At dinner tonight, she grabbed my face and stared and me and said, "Thank you Momma." Georgia came into her room to get her in the morning (since I am too lazy to get up before 7:30 a.m.) and when she opened the door, I heard Lucy from the monitor say, "Georgia scare me."

Georgia: She has been coming into our room lately around 5 in the morning.  I don't mind if she just falls asleep and cuddles.  We should probably break that habit though.  The other day she said a prayer that Jesus would protect her from the monsters.  She was so disappointed when she opened her eyes and she couldn't see Jesus.  It was so sweet and I realize that seriously kids have so much faith!  I have a lot to learn from her.

We started December off by going to the Kaysville City Light Parade!  It was so much fun I can't believe we have never done it before.  There were floats and firetrucks and of course Santa!  All of the candy they threw out to the kids were candy canes.  And there were even free doughnuts and hot cocoa. Whaaa? Yeah---we will be going to this parade every year! The girls loved it.  It was kind of nice to not have it be a huge crowd like the fourth of July and it wasn't 100 degrees outside getting sun-burned either.

Nick made some corn hole boards for Christmas presents. They were a big hit!

The Smoots invited us to go to St. George over New Years and it was really fun!  Playing games with them is always hilarious. I am always in tears laughing.  And Georgia had a blast with these friends. Her and Ruby are just a day apart and she loves the older kids.  They love her too. She was getting lots of kisses from these boys. :) uh-oh---not already right?!? And of course, we got to see my Dad and Joy down there. They made us an amazing BBQ!  Seriously the best meal I have had in a long time!

We went to see Santa and Mrs. Claus was there.  I can't believe she had time between making cookies to come sit by Santa.  Lucy loved her fingernails and Georgia asked Santa for her magic boots.  (Which she said were boots that she could disappear when you put them on.) It was a tricky Christmas present.

Georgia has been waking up before we do lately and I was so thankful that she took all of my shoes off of the shelf. Good morning to me!  The other day she woke up and helped herself to a brownie and washed her own dish.  When did she get so old??? I don't like this one bit!

And the Christmas program that made me so happy beyond words! I was teary-eyed the whole time while she sang "Do You Hear the Christmas Bells?" She sang the whole time and was not nervous at all.  Lucy knew all the actions and some of the words too and loved practicing with her.  I was so proud of her! 

We have the cutest friends in this neighborhood. We are surrounded by houses of girls she can play with, I love it!  I do think about her friends in North Carolina a lot though.  I think about if we were still there that I know she would be really close with all of them. 

Meet Princess Flower...she loves giving free hug and cookies. Did I mention that she is learning a lot in her sunbeams class? She told me yesterday that the Holy Ghost told her that I needed to give her some candy. She must be really in tune. :)

Playing with Leah upstairs at Grandmas!  We are sad Leah is moving but I'm glad they can still be close cousins even though they will live farther away.

One of my favorite things Lucy does lately is when you ask, "Who want a cookie or who wants to be Elsa or who wants to read a book?"...she points to herself and says, "Meee!" And she has been telling stories lately. They go exactly like this every time...."Time" (once upon a time), "Doggie"(there was a doggie), "broke"(and he broke), "oh no" (oh no), "after" (happily ever after).
