...and Nick took me on a run Saturday at Park City that HONESTLY looked like this!!
To say the least...It was SO not fun for me! The sign said "Expert Terrain Only" and I thought it would be fine. I can usually handle the black diamonds but...had I known "expert" would have been on a completely different level I would have never taken the lift. I am definitely not an expert!!
But Nick and I have SEASON passes to Park City this year FREE of charge (thanks to my mom and the cool new car she bought)..so we are taking advantage of it and it has been WAY fun! (bad quality pictures from the cell phone..sorry!)

Broken Hand
Nick broke a finger in his hand playing church basketball. Things can get brutal and intense over there!
I also have to give a mention to how proud I was of Nick yesterday for being an advocate for me as a dietitian. Somebody at his work wanted to lose weight really fast before her wedding. So she asked him what I would recommend as a dietitian for her to do. Well...he said EXACTLY what I would have said to her. He told her that it isn't about a "quick fix" but an overall healthy relationship with food (yes...Nick said this!). And he encouraged her to follow the 90/10 rule (meaning to eat healthy 90% of the time..fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and fish..and 10% of the time allowing yourself to indulge in those foods you love.) Of course she didn't want to hear that...but maybe someday it will click for her. But...good job Nick!! Thanks for supporting all my ideas and being a dietitian's ideal husband!
