Update and Pics--in no particular order!

The girls with Great Grandpa Hatch--doing the "Shoe the Ole' Horse."

Nick went on a backpacking trip with his brother Jonny. They fished all day--a man's heaven!

Sometimes right when Nick gets home from work, and I need to make dinner, he takes the girls on a drive to see the horses just a couple blocks away.  Emma is our other daughter. But--Nick gets best daddy in the world award!

We caught a grasshopper in our yard and named it "Flower." It was a great way to distract the kids and keep them occupied.  But--then we had to have Flower sit at the table in the jar at dinner.  Then I saw it poop as I took a bite of my taco salad and I almost barfed. I let Flower go the next day! Disgusting!

These pics just made me laugh because Max had to put his arm around Georgia like they were going to prom together or something! So cute!

Driving in the banana boat!

We took a trip to Boise, Idaho for a work thing that I had.  The girls didn't understand why we were going to Boise....they wanted to go to "Girls"ie! So--mommy went to Boise for her work thing and daddy and the girls stayed at "Girls"ie (the hotel!) We actually had a blast! Fun road trip, fun hotel, fun city!

We did so many fall activities! It was a fun October! As Anne Shirley of Anne of Green Gables would say, "I'm glad I live in a world with Octobers."

I went to the Carolinas mid October and Nick had the girls! He did such a great job and even did their hair. This was a picture of the braids he did.

There's not much you can do to help Lucy's hair!

The new Smith's Marketplace is less than half a mile from our house! I love it!! My girls call it Bowmans the Second (since they love Bowmans--aka the doughnuts.) But--Georgia always has to use the bathroom when they go there. Not because she needs to go but because Lucy can sit in the baby seat. We usually spend 15 minutes in the bathroom. Eye roll... I hate public bathrooms!

My mom sent us these cute popcorn ball kits. So for FHE, we did these and it was so fun! They were seriously hilarious!

Hilarious right?

Nick carved a pumpkin of his own face....classic.

The more the pumpkin deteriorated outside, the more hilarious it became!

Classic Crest Toothpaste Costume. Lucy the Lion, and Minnie Mouse! Lucy would say, "Trick or Treat...give me something good to eat!"

We did a Rapunzel Birthday party for Georgia turning 4!! It was so much fun! I was impressed with my doughnut tower cake! We had Rapunzel come and she was great--she was in character the whole time, even when I was paying her and none of the kids were around. For a second I wondered if she was really the REAL Rapunzel. ;) We let a chinese lantern up in the sky and it was really cool. I was worried it was going to hit somebody's house or something though!

I made this Rapunzel braid and was impressed Georgia wore it the whole party!

Lucy was SO into this! She has been really into dress up too and sometimes the first thing she says when she gets out of her crib is who she wants to dress up as. Usually Anna with high heels. She is very particular in wanting to twirl and wear a skirt. She is so girlie!

Georgia gave her a makeover with her play makeup--you can't get the full effect from this picture. It just looked like she got a bad spray tan and two black eyes.

We went golfing with the Alexanders at Bountiful Ridge. It was so gorgeous and the perfect fall activity! We were playing so slow though that we couldn't even finish the last hole before it was pitch black. We hit the balls anyway, but we just shot them in the dark and got called into the clubhouse. It was really fun!

I like being able to go to Art shows with Emily--and this one was really cool! I wish I would have taken more pictures! It was so cool! This artist just made statues of garbage. But it was honestly awesome!

Just some of these cute babes!

Nick had a work conference in Park City over our anniversary and so we decided we would just do a little staycation up there (no kids!) I love Park City in the fall! It is beautiful! I was so fun and so nice to just be able to eat dinner whenever and just hang out.

Our other little artist!

We do a preschool co-op with the neighbor kids. We have 8 kids and so I teach every 7 weeks! It is so fun and I love having Georgia so close for preschool. I love teaching too! It gets pretty wild, but I love it!

Apple picking in Idaho!

Lucy got a cute new bob haircut! I love it! I should have done it sooner!

This picture is just classic of Lucy--it totally captures her personality right now!

Callie and Georgia doing bumper boats!

As I said, I went to North Carolina mid October! It was such a good trip. It was so therapeutic for me and good for my soul. I got to see a lot of old friends and just be in my old stomping grounds.  It's crazy how much it still felt like home, but at the same time I missed Utah because that is where Nick and the girls were. Home is where your family is! I missed everybody so much. The other day, Georgia said, "Mom--remember when you went to North Carolina?....it was like you died." That was really sad, but I guess I am happy she missed me?  Next time, we are ALL going as a family to the Carolinas. I don't want to leave them again!

I love these girls and they truly make me a better person!

Just the girls at Bowmans the Second with Nick!

Nick took the girls to Lagoon and Chuckie Cheese while I was gone. When mom's away, the kids will play! Nick forgot a stroller though at Lagoon so he carried both girls the whole time and had diapers and wipes in his pocket. Just thinking of it makes me exhausted--but it makes me laugh too!

We had the best time at the beach resort, riding bikes around, seeing an alligator, and going to Charleston! The food was amazing--although I was a little disappointed about the chicken and waffles.

Classic Lucy!

She got a fish for her birthday from Grandma Char. She makes sure that "Blue" or sometimes "Candy Rainbow" doesn't eat too much. But I think she is a little strict with how much she gives him/her. He is a Beta Fish so he can't have any other fish in the tank or he would eat it. I told Georgia that and her response was..."let's put a fish in and watch him eat it." uhhhh...should I be worried?

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!
