Disneyland and April!

Oh my goodness! We had the best month! California, Disneyland, spring weather....but it ended with barftastrophe! The barf story is pretty epic. Stay tuned to the end...

So we headed to California in the morning! We were all ready for the road trip and split it up in half and stayed in St. George the first night. The girls loved the idea of a road trip and were just excited for the vacation.  We got to California the next afternoon and just played at the hotel and in the pool. I don't think the girls stopped screaming with excitement for like 5 hours! Every ordinary thing in the hotel room was exciting! "Look mom...a doorknob!"

We went to Newport Beach the next day and just spent the whole day there. We saw a seal and a dolphin. We got lots of seashells and made lots of sandcastles! It was so much fun. Nick and I played some frisbee. Perfect beach day. We have a tradition of collecting the sand in a water bottle or soda bottle at every beach we go to.  So...we have sands of beaches all around the world. It makes me want to go to more and more beaches!

We went to downtown disney that night and ate some food and went the the Disney Store.  I don't know what we were thinking---the girls wanted EVERYTHING in there.  Such a trap.

Then...we went to Disneyland on Monday and got there early enough to do everything in Fantasyland. We went on the Dumbo ride first--since that was the ride the girls were the most excited about. I love that you can ride all of the rides with your kids at Disneyland too. There was no crowd either that we mostly walked onto every ride. It's a Small World is a hit! We all loved it! I loved the Dole Whips and the Jungle Ride. I love the storybook ride too! And...we did the Anna and Elsa show and Georgia was star struck. It was hilarious! We saw the parade and waved at all the characters. So fun! We were exhausted by the end of the day. For everybody that thought our girls would be too young..I disagree completely! They loved it! It was so magical and I thought they were a great age. I think even more fun in a year, but I don't regret taking them at this age!

The next day we did California Adventures! I love California Adventures! We did the new Cars ride first which is DARLING! I can't even believe how much it is just like you are in the movie. We did Cars Land and Bugs Life. Georgia talked to Crush and met Anna and Elsa. She wanted them to be adopted. The Ariel ride is AMAZING! We did that one like 4 times! Then we did lunch with the princesses. They all came to our table and it was worth it because then you didn't have to wait in line. The food was not the best and I was mad Georgia's turkey sandwich was $30 and she could have gotten the free meal! But...oh well- Live and Learn.

Okay now--ready for the barf! The next day we drove home and got to Vegas. We are in the middle of the desert and Lucy barfs everywhere! I have 4 baby wipes (just my luck). I look back and it's REAL bad. I start dry heaving. Thank goodness Nick has a good stomach for things like that! He cleaned it up in the middle of nowhere and I got Lucy changed. Then we were off again crossing our fingers it didn't happen again. Well--we were wrong. Every hour! Throw-up everywhere. Our car smelled SO bad. By the time we were an hour away, I sat back there just trying to catch throw up in a shirt. I caught it and then Nick had to take his shirt off and so I had another shirt to catch it in. I can only imagine if we got pulled over. haha. We are so ghetto. Anyway--the last 30 minutes, Lucy threw up all over my face. I was covered. Georgia was wanting attention and saying that her throat hurt. Lucy kept saying, "hold me." It was breaking my heart. Poor girl! We made it home and I have never been so happy to be home in MY LIFE!

So..now just back to real life which is good...real good.

Georgia from now on wants to be known as "Crystal Clear". Her new name.

Lucy will say, "Georgia...I mean..Crystal Clear."

Nick's job is going well. I love being a mom and my side work is going well...but being a mom is my favorite job in the world. When I look back on life, I don't care if I am successful or if I have big titles..I will just care that I raised a good family and enjoyed life.

Words cannot describe this outfit and how I felt every time I saw Nick in it. Classic.

Georgia wanted to bring Tiny with her to dance class.

At Papa Pehrson's on our way to Disneyland!

Lucy took the pen out of Rapunzel's hand while she was signing Georgia's autograph book.

Georgia would be terrified while meeting them and then once they left she would be all spunky and tell us everything.

Lucy's favorite princess even though we never saw this movie.

Out of control! I love this picture!

Somebody got a hold of the play lipstick!
