Apparently I am not good at tea parties....

I feel like August is such a busy month especially because we have two birthdays (Nick's and Lucy's)
It is so weird to not be starting school in August---it feels like summer is just ongoing without school starting.  But it is also kind of nice.  I do miss "Back to School" though too because I get more into a routine.  It just feels like we have been flying by the seat of our pants.

So...the month of August started with Nick's birthday. He got to go on a guy's trip to Moab with his brothers.  They had a blast...and went four wheeling and slept in hammocks.

We hit up the splash pad!

...and the Davis County Fair.  They had free pony rides.  Georgia had fun but was a little nervous.

Nick had a prosecutor conference in Logan so we went up with him for a couple nights and stayed in the hotel.  It was so crazy to be up in Logan again and staying on campus.  Floods of memories came as I walked around the campus and drove around the valley with the girls. I remember thinking I wanted to take my kids to the parks in Cache Valley--and here I was---doing just that.  I feel like Utah State was such a defining time for me to become my best self and really start living my life the way I wanted.  I met so many amazing people and have so many fun memories. It made me happy and sad and sentimental all at the same time being there.  In my opinion, it is the ONLY place to go to college.  I loved every minute.  It is weird being there though and seeing the college kids and how young they look.  I remember always thinking college kids looking SO old! I showed Georgia where I lived and she said, "I want to live there but I want you to live there with me."  I can't even imagine her going to college and growing up.  One day she won't want me to live with her. :( so sad! This picture below is Lucy and Nick at the hotel.

 True Aggies!

These ones with their daddy just kill me!

 On Lucy's Birthday!
She devoured the entire cake--That's my girl!

Always stop to smell the flowers!

Happy Birthday to this cute girl!  I can't even imagine our lives without her.  She was a surprise but such a fun surprise!! She makes our house a happier place and is the best gift we could give Georgia.  I remember feeling so bad that Georgia wasn't going to be our only one and get all the attention but I realize that she would so much rather have Lucy.  They love each other and whenever I ask Georgia what she dreamed about she says, "Lucy." And whenever I ask Lucy she says, "Babies".  She used to say "Georgia."  Lucy is already talking like CRAZY.  She is just our little parrot and says whatever we say.  The cutest thing is when she closes everybody in a room and says "tapped" for "trapped".  She likes to trap everybody in together.

Nick and I pulled off a pretty cute "I Love Lucy" party and it was a pretty good success.

I went to Wicked with the sister in laws!  They are the best and we always have fun and laugh at the dumbest things.  It's fun to live close by.  Now...I just need to get Rickie here. (next year)

My cute dad came to visit and the girls had so much fun with their Papa Pehrson.

I have always thought Lucy looks so much like my dad.

As far as the tea parties, Georgia said, "Mom...you aren't very good at tea parties. Daddy is REALLY good at tea parties...can you go away?" ummm...that made me sad but it was pretty hilarious.
